The Severino couple – who give body, voice and soul to the “Duo Em Sol Maior” project – aim to show what is most beautiful in the various musical genres. They interpret their music at the frequency of 432Hz, the frequency used until the beginning of the XNUMXth century and considered perfect for being the same frequency at which the universe resonates.

In 1939, the Nazi Joseph Goebbels decreed the use of the musical frequency at 440Hz – an inharmonious frequency in relation to the universe – which was, in 1953, adopted by the International Organization for Standardization, starting to be used in all instruments, orchestras and in industry phonographic.

Conservatory, the first and only transverse flute student to enter a Superior Conservatory of Music abroad, while graduating in Biology and Geology via teaching.

In 2002 he won the Grand Prix Maria Callas at the Athenaeum, in Greece.

«These facts, by themselves, are uncommon, but if we add to them the fact that, until being surgically intervened, in 2013, her vision was less than 4%, and her deafness, even today, is almost total , being surpassed only with the use of sophisticated hearing aids, Andreia Severino becomes living proof that commitment and determination surpass all difficulties and sufferings», stresses Grupo Coral Ossónoba.

José Carlos Severino began his musical studies in electric bass at 15 years old. As an autodidact, he dedicated himself to the mandolin, banjolin, laud, guitar and various types of basses.

The musical genres that he studied range from pop to baroque and classical music.

He collaborated in groups such as Runaway Boys, Trópicos, Grasshopers, Max&Trio, and participated as bassist, in 1995, in the cd “The Night”, by the Brazilian band Sávio Araujo & The Ghetto Band.
