Two workers at the Raposeira Wind Farm, Vila do Bispo, were seriously injured yesterday after being victims of an electrical discharge, which caused burns.
According to the CDOS, the alert was given at 12:33 pm and the condition of the victims led to an INEM helicopter being called to the scene to assist and transport the wounded, in addition to a Basic Life Support ambulance, a VMER and an ambulance of the Vila do Bispo firefighters.
The accident also caused a fire in an area of surrounding woods, which led to the mobilization of firefighters from Lagos, Portimão and Monchique and Vila do Bispo and of the fire fighting helicopter based in Monchique. The GNR was also at the site.
