IMG_8705BThe children of Alcoutim celebrated World Children's Day with activities for all tastes, from face painting to the adrenaline of navigating the Guadiana River in a speedboat or jet ski. Around 200 children participated in the celebrations, attending nurseries and schools in the municipality.

The activities began at 9:30 am, with rides along the Guadiana River on jet skis, intersection speedboats and a maritime police lifeboat, and continued until around 15:00 pm, in places such as the Basic School
Integrated in Alcoutim or the river beach of Pego Fundo.

A zumba class, games, inflatables, face painting, movies, trampoline, and educational activities filled the kids' day.

The commemorations were attended by the president of the municipality, Osvaldo dos Santos Gonçalves, and councilors Paulo Paulino and José Galrito, as well as the director of the Group of Schools of the Municipality of Alcoutim,
António Amorim, and the captain of the Port Captaincy of Vila Real de Santo António, captain Ventura Borges.

The Children's Day activities were promoted by the Municipality of Alcoutim in conjunction with the Group
of Alcoutim Municipality Schools and the Port Authority of Vila Real de Santo António.
