The collection “Nos Passos do Bernardo” will be released tomorrow, Tuesday, at 18:30 pm in the auditorium of Escola EB 2, 3 Poeta Bernardo de Passos, in São Brás de Alportel.
According to the municipality of Sambras, this is "a fair tribute to the patron of the school, the greatest poet of São Brasense, who continues to be an inspiration for the younger generations."
The work is part of the collection of editions of the Centenary, and the City Council of São Brás says that this constitutes «a contribution to encouraging reading and writing among young people, and to valuing the committed work that the school community has been developing towards the over the past few years, making known the results of the literary initiative “Nos Passos de Bernardo” that the teachers in the area of letters at that school have been carrying out with students».
The literary initiative, in honor of Bernardo de Passos, began in the 2001/2002 school year with the aim of promoting a taste for poetry and writing in younger people. The collection “Nos Passos do Bernardo” results from the compilation of all these works, “which give continuity to the cultural legacy of the municipality, embraced and reinvented by new generations”.
