The Regional Health Administration and the Faculties of Human and Social Sciences and Economics of the University of Algarve […]

protocol 2The Regional Health Administration and the Faculties of Human and Social Sciences and Economics of the University of Algarve signed collaboration protocols to provide students of the 2nd cycle in Psychology and 2nd year of the Masters in Economics with curricular internships at the Centro de Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation of the South, in São Brás de Alportel, in the region's primary health care services, and also at the Headquarters of the ARS Algarve, in Faro.

The curricular internships, leading to a Master's degree in both cases, arise from the need to develop relationships between institutions in the region and the academic community in order to enhance qualified professional insertion.

ARS Algarve will extend the initial agreement with UAlg, being able to receive interns not only in its rehabilitation services, but also in the functional units of primary health care, in the sense of «there is a better use of the internship», both for the student. , as for the institutions involved, as explained by the President of the Board of Directors of the ARS Algarve.

protocol 1"It is important for the institution to create these partnerships, receive and be able to integrate for a period, albeit limited, people with new ideas and also contribute so that these same people have the possibility of contacting the work reality in a practical way." added João Moura Reis.

The collaboration protocol and the cooperation agreement, which may also include the scientific aspect of research, do not generate any employment relationship between the parties, they are in force from the date of signature for a period of one year, being considered automatically renewed if neither party denounces it.
