Odemira LibraryThe José Saramago Municipal Library, in Odemira, will host an information session on the “Campaign for social discounts on electricity and natural gas and the change of supplier”, which will take place on May 21, at 14 pm.

This initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Odemira, Directorate-General for Energy and Geology and DECO – Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection.

The session will aim at the dissemination of information and clarification to consumers regarding the process of extinction of regulated tariffs and the transition of electricity and natural gas contracts to end customers to the free market regime, as well as the safeguard mechanisms and support to economically vulnerable end customers. The session will be hosted by jurist Isabel Curvo.

This initiative stems from a partnership between the Municipality of Odemira and DECO, with the aim of promoting free customer service. The sessions are open to all consumers, being carried out by a DECO lawyer, one day a month, between 12:00 and 15:00, with confidentiality guaranteed.

The sessions take place at the Professional Insertion Office, located at Rua José Maria de Andrade, the next one coinciding with the information session at the José Saramago Library.

The remaining customer service sessions are scheduled until the end of the year, to be held on June 18, July 16, August 20, September 17, October 15, November 19 and December 17, 2015.
