The young Algarve musician Diogo Piçarra will be the guest of the next edition of the “Lado B” initiative, which will take place on June 9, at 21 pm, at Teatro Mascarenhas Gregório, in Silves.
"Lado B" is a section promoted by the Câmara de Silves that aims to make artists known, revealing not only their work, but also their personal side.
In this «intimate and informal» musical gathering, the young man from Faro, who was launched to stardom after winning one of the editions of the television program «Ídolos», will «talk about books, songs, movies, stories and other confessions, also interpreting, on guitar, some unavoidable themes (originals and versions) from his repertoire», namely from his first album «Espelho», released in 2015.
The first part of the event will feature the special participation of several young people who are part of the project promoted by the Municipality Youth Sector «Young Artists of the municipality of Silves», who will present some notes of contemporary music and dance, some of them related to the route and Diogo Picarra's repertoire.
This is followed by a space for debate and direct contact with Diogo Piçarra, which will be, according to Câmara de Silves, «an opportunity to promote reflection, among younger people, on the challenges, dilemmas and difficulties facing all those who, like Diogo Piçarra, intend to follow an artistic path».
