urban sketchersThe national meeting of the Urban Sketchers Portugal Association will take place in Silves, on the 18th and 19th of April, with the support of the City Council.

The program includes, on April 18, visits to the Municipal Museum of Archeology (at 10:00 am) and the design of historical spaces and monuments in Silves, such as the Cathedral, the Castle, the Misericórdia Church, the Old Bridge, the Portas da City, the City Hall, the Pelourinho and the Cruz de Portugal.

Also on April 18, at 21 pm, there will be an activity open to the community, which will take place at the Municipal Museum of Archeology and which will include a round table on “The Graphic Diary and Drawing in Daily Life”, during which some urban sketchers they will talk about their day to day.

On April 19, at 10:00 am, the Messinense Instruction and Recreation Society will be the space where participants in the activity will gather, so that they can then draw the historic area of ​​SB Messines and its monuments: Igreja Matriz, Ermidas de S. Sebastião, Nossa Senhora da Saúde and S. Pedro, João de Deus Museum House, birthplace of João de Deus.

Os urban sketchers are a group of authors who draw in graphic diaries the cities where they live, the places they travel, meet to draw from time to time and respect the manifesto and who formed the Association Urban Sketchers Portugal.
