The University of Algarve will promote itself and its training offer at Qualifica – Education, Training, Youth and Employment Fair, which takes place at Exponor – Porto International Fair from tomorrow, Thursday, until next Sunday .
The UAlg stand will be presented under the motto "study where it's good to live" and will "privileged the dissemination of the entire initial training offer", but will also make known the "2015 Summer Courses", which will run from June 29th to July 10th. These last courses are aimed at young people in secondary education (from 16 years old) and their main objective is to promote a taste for the various areas of teaching and research at UAlg and help them in the process of choosing their path in higher education.
«This initiative also allows the experience of the academic reality of the campuses and the contact with students and teachers of UAlg, thus providing a different and unique experience for all participants. After the success achieved last year, the 2015 edition repeats the offer in residential and non-residential regime and the teaching activities take place, for the most part, in the morning, with several recreational and sporting activities scheduled for the afternoon," he added the Algarve university.
At the same time, the 4th edition of the «UAlg Excellence Scholarships» will be released, a university project supported by dozens of companies from different backgrounds, which rewards the academic merit and excellence of students who enter the institution with one year of paid tuition fees.
"This initiative aims to secure the best students in the country in this region and has, at present, an added importance given the difficulties that families are facing to bear the burden of their students, especially when they have to travel outside their respective residences”, stressed the UAlg.
Since it was created, the «UAlg Scholarships of Excellence» project has supported more than one hundred students of the institution, «with a value that already exceeds 100 euros».
