Portimão will once again host, from the 24th to the 26th of April, the UIM Endurance Aquabike European Championship and the “Grande Prix de Portugal” of the Aquabike Endurance European Championship.
It is the eighth consecutive year that the city has hosted the International Endurance Day in Motas de Água. The format will be the same as in 2014, open only to European Titles in the GP1, GP2, GP3 and Veterans categories, with the realization, on the 25th, of 120 minutes for Motas de Água, and another manga on the 26th, with the duration of 180 minutes.
O paddock The main one will be located in the Ribeirinha Zone, where the confirmation of entries will start on Friday (24th), from 15:00 pm to 21:00 pm, at the event secretariat, located at Clube Naval de Portimão, with the following day being for security checks and the usual meeting of pilots, scheduled for 12:00, at the headquarters of the Clube Naval de Portimão.
After the preparations, on Saturday (April 25), the Motas de Água departure will take place on the beach at Praia da Rocha, at 15:30, towards Carvoeiro, returning to Praia do Vau, Praia da Rocha, Praia da Marina and Carvoeiro, in a total of 120 minutes of pure adrenaline, with refueling and change of drivers taking place at Praia da Marina.
On Sunday (April 26), the jet skis will start at around 11:30 am, for 180 minutes between Praia da Marina and Alvor, with the Prize Giving Ceremony scheduled for 16:00 pm, at Clube Naval de Portimão.
The riders of the Motas de Água will cover a total of 470 kilometers in two days and, in the competition, athletes from several countries will be represented, some of them being National Champions in the Endurance modality, forming teams of 2 riders.
Inscribed in the UIM – International Motornautics Union calendar, this unique event of the 2015 European Championship is jointly organized by the Free Promoter – Associação Náutica Motorizada and Portimão Municipal Council, with the technical support of the Portuguese Motornautics Federation and logistical support Clube Naval de Portimão and Marina Portimão.
