2015 Mundialito Finals (1)Sevilla dominated the finals of Mundialito 2015, the biggest children's football tournament in the world, by winning in the main categories, this Saturday, in front of the packed audience of the Sports Complex of Vila Real de Santo António.

In the 2004 category, Sevilla beat Valencia 1-0, in a game where the chances to score were not many, but the enthusiasm of the audience accompanied the little stars.

In the 2005-2006 class, the match was equally Spanish, with Sevilla once again getting the better of rivals Barcelona by 3-1.

In the pre-school category (2007-2008), Sevilla also beat Benfica – the only Portuguese club in the golden finals – by 4-2, in a game that proved to be disputed, in front of an effusive audience that kept the atmosphere lively during the entire match.

In the finals of the 2009 category (cherubs) – the first to take place this Saturday – once again the Andalusian club beat CD Verdeluz by an expressive 5-1.

Sevilla's supremacy was not revealed only in the 2003 class, in a game where Celta de Vigo beat Inter Milan by 2-1.

In 2015, Mundialito broke records once again, with the participation of 4.000 children from more than 50 nationalities and around 300 teams from 200 clubs that played close to 750 games.

During the event, which took place between the 28th of March and the 5th of April, the hotel occupancy rate in the municipalities of VRSA and Ayamonte reached 100 percent, generating an economic return of two million euros for the two cities.

In terms of innovation, Mundialito 2015 was divided this year into five groups. In addition to the usual formations (7/8 years old, 9/10 years old and Cherubim), the 11 and 12 year old class was split, giving rise to two autonomous groups, which raised the competitive level even further.
