chained_2While Marilu Santana remains chained to the interior stairs of Clube Praia da Rocha, for the sixth consecutive day, the Union of Workers in the Hotel, Tourism, Restaurants and Similar Industry of the Algarve organizes today, at 18:00, another protest in solidarity with workers from that unit with delayed wages.

Tiago Jacinto, coordinator of the Union, told the Sul Informação that the situation remains the same, with no prospects that the company Green Stairs, which operates the tourist apartments in the complex located in Praia da Rocha, has expressed its intention to pay “now” what it owes the workers.

Marilu Santana, the worker who last Friday he chained himself to the interior stairs of Clube Praia da Rocha demanding payment of back wages, he spent his fifth night in protest on the spot. Outside, on the other side of the glass, his colleagues continue, in solidarity, also sleeping in the place.
