Between April 3rd and 5th, São Marcos da Serra receives another edition of the Folar Fair. The event, which is in its 17th edition, will bring many lovers of this traditional Easter sweet to the municipality of Silves.
In addition to the folar producers, other regional products will be present at the fair, ranging from sweets and honey, to liqueurs and arbutus.
According to the Municipality of Silves, this XVII edition of the Folar Fair has “as its primary objective the promotion of the interior of the county and of local popular culture, namely the parish of S. Marcos da Serra. convey the know-how of local people, their traditions, gastronomy and handicraft».
The Folar Fair is organized by the Municipality of Silves, with the support of the Parish Council of S. Marcos da Serra, Serrano Futebol Clube, the Humanitarian Association of S. Marcos and the Agricultural Credit Bank of S. Marcos da Serra.
