Headquarters of ERTA Turismo do AlgarveThe Algarve Tourism Region (RTA) signed this Friday, 27, collective agreements of public employers with three unions representing the workers of the entity, aiming at reducing the normal working period of employees to 35 hours a week.

The agreements are signed between the president of RTA Desidério Silva, and representatives of the Union of Workers in Public Administration and Public Purposes (SINTAP), the Union of Workers in Public and Social Functions of the South and Autonomous Regions (STFPSSRA) and the Union of State Technical Staff and Public Purpose Entities (STE).

The document applies to workers affiliated or who may join these unions and is extendable to all professionals in public functions, also covering safety, hygiene and health at work.

Once signed, the agreements will be sent for deposit at the Directorate-General for Administration and Public Employment (DGAEP) and will take effect after publication in the Diário da República.

The collective agreement of public employer is an instrument of collective regulation of conventional work, applicable to a public employer, corresponding in the typology of private labor law to the so-called company agreement provided for in the Labor Code.
