football clubMoncarapachense beat Quarteira 3-2 this weekend, in a match for the 25th round of the AFA District Football Championship, and kept the distance of three points to Almancilense, who occupy the second position in the table, with less a game.

The leader entered the game strong and scored after nine minutes, but in the second half, Quarteira managed to turn the result to 1-2. At a disadvantage, Moncarapachense pressed and tied with two minutes to go. When the referee's final whistle was expected, the home team reached the winning goal through Silva, who entered during the second half.

Almancilense had a calmer afternoon. In Faro, against Farense B, the second placed in the table thrashed by 0-4. The victory also increased the distance to third-placed, Lagoa, who lost at home to Esperança de Lagos.

The derby of the municipality of Albufeira between Guia and Immortal, smiled at the men of the “chicken capital”, who won 2-0.
