football clubMoncarapachense was “caught” by Almancilense at the top of the classification of the District Championship of the Football Association of the Algarve, after having lost in the 26th round, in the trip to Faro, to face the Culatrense.

The leader lost 3-1 and, despite remaining in the first place, is in the condition since Almancil's team has one game in hand.

In the 26th round held this weekend, Almancilense received and thrashed 11 Esperanças by 5-0. Lagoa, third-placed, may have said “goodbye” to the fight for the promotion of the division, as they lost in the field of Faro and Benfica by 1-0, and the leading pair are already 8 points away. In addition, the Lagoans now have the same points as the fourth-placed Culatrense.
