between files«E-Government – ​​For a new State model in the Information Society» is the theme of Luís Vidigal's (APDSI) conference, which will take place at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão, on January 24, at 15 pm, within the scope of the cycle Between Files.

The conference intends to testify to an experience lived over 40 years around innovation in public services in Portugal and in many countries around the world. A new collaborative, interoperable, real-time vision of the State will be presented, oriented to the life events of citizens and economic agents, drawing attention to the political, socio-organizational and semantic aspects of the introduction of information technologies in public administration ».

Luís Vidigal has a degree in Business Management and in Social and Political Sciences, being the founder and member of the board of APDSI (Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society).

He was a senior leader in the areas of information technology, taxation and administrative modernization, as well as a member of the board of the International Council on Informatics for Public Administrations.

He is a guest lecturer at some higher and professional education establishments. He has participated as a lecturer, expert and consultant in numerous international missions of the OECD, European Union and World Bank in the areas of e-Government and IT Governance and is the author of numerous works published in the country and abroad.

«Between Files» is a project signed by the University of Évora, which aims to carry out a cycle of conferences in the area of ​​archiving. This initiative aims to bring specialists to the different Algarve Archives, on a Saturday of each month.

“The discussion is fundamental when we talk about themes whose pertinence is reflected in the daily lives of archival professionals”, emphasize the promoters.

The project is carried out under the Doctoral Program in Information and Documentation Sciences.

Admission to the conference is free and confers a certificate to the participants.
