A man was arrested in Portimão, this Monday afternoon, for drug trafficking, following a road inspection carried out by the GNR, in the Figueira area, in that municipality of Barlavento.
The man was stopped and his attitude, "denoting nervousness and apprehension", led the military of the GNR Territorial Post of Portimão to carry out a more in-depth search of the vehicle and to discover "enough hash pollen for 6505 individual doses" stored " in the form of acorns and plates'.
"In addition to the narcotic product, among the material seized from the individual is a mobile phone, a precision scale, 6587 euros and the vehicle in which it was transported", added the Territorial Command of Faro of the GNR, in a statement.
The detainee, 55 years old and residing in the municipality of Lagos, "is being present at the Department of Investigation and Criminal Action of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Portimão to apply the coercive measures found to be appropriate".
