Two water reservoirs, with a combined capacity of 400 cubic meters, located in the Covato area, Aljezur, and intended for the public supply of the town, are being built, announced the Municipality of Aljezur.
The main works (civil construction) were carried out by direct administration, with the purchase of the necessary materials (pipes, accessories, ductile iron and concrete), in the amount of 20.200 euros, with the supply and assembly of the tanks being contracted with a specialized company in the sector, for the value of 41.600 euros, added the municipality.
The works are nearing completion. Connections will then be made to the mains and the distribution network.
This investment will allow a "significant increase in pressure on the network", which will "solve existing failures in periods of higher consumption", also guarantees the Chamber.
