The company Algar will join the New Year festivities promoted by the municipalities of Lagoa, Faro and Vila Real de Santo António and making them environmentally friendly, as part of its “Eco Event” program, which has certified, throughout this year, 14 initiatives that took place in the region.
The company challenged all municipalities that are going to promote New Year's Eve to join the program, which, free of charge, offers logistical support for the correct management of recyclable waste produced, namely for paper/cardboard, plastic/metal and glass packaging.
The support offered «consists of consulting and counseling services to find ways to reduce the production of waste, training for cleaning teams, providing adequate equipment for the disposal of recyclable waste and guaranteeing its collection, all with the aim of promoting selective separation'.
"The service in question was created with the purpose of minimizing the environmental impact that events with a high concentration of public produce, thus ensuring that the recyclable waste generated therein is sent for recycling in its entirety", revealed the multi-municipal management company. The three Eco Events, which will enter in 2015 respecting the environment, have different proposals.
In Lagoa, for the first time the New Year will take place at the Centro de Congressos do Arade. The event is called Arade Music Fest and the public can, within this space, enjoy different areas such as the restaurant area, electronic music space and also benefit from an area reserved for “chill out” relaxation.
Em Faro, the party takes place in a giant tent in Jardim Manuel Bívar, on stage will be the band Wallabee Jam Band, with covers of reggae, funk disco, soul and rock, followed late into the night by the show with DJ Mister Cool.
Em Monte Gordo, in the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António, the party will be animated by the bands Duo Reflexo and Top Som, and at dawn they can also count on the presence of DJ's Smash and Mike Simon.
«All of them promise animation and there will be no lack of fireworks to welcome 2015», explained Algar.
