This competition, which will take place at the VRSA Municipal Swimming Pools, is a first on the National Swimming Calendar and, for some athletes, will be the first major test of the season.

With about half a thousand participants, the competition will feature the National Swimming Team and teams from Benfica, Porto and Sporting.

In addition to these delegations, the presence of other Portuguese emblems such as Vasco da Gama, Algés and Dafundo, Portinado, Belenenses, among others, in a total of 34 clubs, is already confirmed.

Internationally, there are Spanish athletes from Aljaraque (Seville) and Columbino (Huelva).

This competition is also the last opportunity to qualify that will allow access to the World Short Swimming Championship, in December, in Doha (Qatar).

The XNUMXst Algarve International Swimming Meeting takes place in the Municipal Swimming Pools building, located in the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex, a structure that, once again, demonstrates the excellent conditions for holding large events.

This is an important competition for swimming, both regional and national, which will bring together, in a single weekend, the best national and international swimmers.
