The Municipality of Monchique, in partnership with the “A Nossa Terra” Association and the Flamingo Group, celebrates the National Reforestation Week and the National Day of the Autochthonous Forest with activities aimed at the school community and the population in general.
The program is varied and encompasses several initiatives. Thus, on the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th of November, there will be a field trip to collect acorns and build a nursery, aimed at pre-school and 1st cycle students.
The planting of 21 Monchique cork oaks and oaks is scheduled for November 200, in Alferce and São Marcos da Serra, in partnership with the Flamingo Group – aimed at Academia Senior students and the general population. Applications must be made through the email [email protected].
On November 23, there will be a pedestrian route, the “Rota das Árvores Monumentais” (6 km), in partnership with the association “Nossa Terra”, in an action aimed at the general population. Registration at [email protected].
