Pedro Martins, athlete of the Che Lagoense Badminton team and born in the municipality of Lagoa, won this Sunday the Moroccan International Badminton Open, in Casablanca, beating the Belgian Yuhan Tan in the final.
In the semi-finals, Pedro Martins had already left behind the main favorite of the competition, the American Bjorn Seguin, 73rd in the world ranking, by 11-6, 11-10 and 11-9.
Turkish Mohammed Ali Kurt was the opponent defeated in the quarter-finals, 11-7, 11-5 and 11-10.
