The Albufeira Multipurpose Space (EMA) will host, on the 23rd of October, the 3rd edition of the “AGE – Soluções de Emprego & Empreendedorismo”, which brings together more than two dozen public and private entities with permanent service desks, where the visitors can get information about job offers, incentive systems, solutions to create your own business, entrepreneurial opportunities, among many other options.
The event is attended by Octávio Oliveira, Secretary of State for Employment, who will participate in the opening session of the conference and workshop program.
The "AGE – Soluções de Emprego & Empreendedorismo" features service desks with training and employment offers, conferences, workshops, networking, financing programs and exhibitions will be available to participants, in an event that aims to promote employability, creation of own employment, entrepreneurship and dissemination of courses and training actions.
Public and private entities will meet in the same space to provide diversified information to different audiences (entrepreneurs, professionals, unemployed, entrepreneurs and students), from incentive systems to job offers, solutions to create and finance their own business, opportunities for undertake, consolidate or license business projects.
Networking and the promotion of partnerships continues to be another bet at the event, which this year maintains the networking tree and the terrace of opportunities, spaces that attract hundreds of participants interested in establishing new contacts.
The AGE Tree invites visitors to leave their business cards so that business between professionals and companies can take place.
At Esplanada de Oportunidades, it is possible to hold informal meetings, recruitment interviews, selection of trainees, exhibition of products and services, or establishment of agreements and partnerships.
In the third edition, the “AGE – Solutions for Employment & Entrepreneurship” will be complemented with several clarification sessions and workshops as part of the 2nd edition of the “Volta de Apoio ao Emprego”, an event organized by the Representation of the European Commission in Portugal , the Employment and Vocational Training Institute and the Europe Direct network of centres, within the scope of the information actions that have been carried out in various parts of the country.
From 9:30 am, Room B of the EMA welcomes representatives of various regional entities in the area of employment, entrepreneurship and financing who, over six panels, present their projects, testimonies and responses with a view to increasing employability, through training professional, internships or international volunteering experience, suggestions on how to make an application successful and ways to access job vacancies available in Europe.
The opening session will be chaired by Carlos Silva e Sousa, president of the municipality of Albufeirense, who will be accompanied by Octávio de Oliveira, Secretary of State for Employment, Carlos Baía, IEFP regional delegate, David Santos, president of CCDR Algarve, and Paulo Freitas, president of the Albufeira Municipal Assembly.

Throughout the day, the Espaço Multiusos de Albufeira will also be the stage for moments of entertainment through gastronomic demonstrations, performing arts and sports activities.
“AGE – Soluções de Emprego & Empreendedorismo” is an event organized in partnership by the Municipality of Albufeira and the Employment and Professional Training Institute.
