Young people will once again be in the spotlight, in Olhão, from this Monday until Sunday, in another Youth Week of the City of Restoration. The youth association MOJU, which organizes the event, has once again thought of a set of activities “from and for young people” in different areas.
Programs to support young people and youth, photography, sport, fashion, dance, music, workshops and social inclusion will be the focus of the 6th edition of the event.
Among the activities proposed by the young people of Olhão, we highlight the holding of a Photographic Raid through the Cubist city on the 14th and the Roundtable “Associativism, Sport and Inclusion” on the 15th, with the participation of the Municipality of Olhão , of the Regional Directorate of the Algarve of the IPDJ and the organizers of the Quelfes Games. On the 16th, the Associação Juvenil Olhanense celebrates its 7th anniversary, with the performance of Fábio Lagarto.
On Friday, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty will be celebrated with a continuous 12-hour bicycle marathon, open to the entire population. During the day, young people can try out different sports activities. At night, the animation will be in charge of the band from Olhão TOK and Ana Rostron & João Caiano, winners of the 4th edition of the Abril Bandas Mil garage band competition.
On the 18th, various sporting moments will be promoted with the holding of different open classes and the III Battle Dance Contest in Olhão, from 15 pm, at the Sociedade Recreativa Progresso Olhanense. On that day, the animation will be in charge of Anarchy Machine, runners-up in the 4th edition of Abril Bands Mil, and Contra Corrente.
