The poetry book “Imagem d'escrita”, by Roberto Leandro (a young man from Albufeira, living in Lisbon), will be launched on Saturday, the 18th of October, at the Cepa Velha restaurant, next to the Kiss disco (Rua Vasco da Range) in Albufeira.
The book features photographs of four people he invited to illustrate his poems: Isabel Brinca, Luísa Correia, Rui Manuel Aires and Vanessa Ideias.
“I say people, because I can't use the word “photographer” to label myself. I'm far from being a photographer, but even so, it was with photographs that I participated in this project», said one of the authors of the images, Luísa Correia, to Sul Informação.
“When I said four people, I should have said five. This is because the book has a peculiarity: some poems await the reader's illustration/photography. Each book in this edition can be a unique book, because each reader will be able to illustrate the poems that still have “blank pages” to accompany them», said Luísa Correia.
The book was presented in Lisbon on October 5th, and will now be presented in Albufeira, next Saturday. There will also be another presentation in Pedrógão (land of the author's family) on one of the first weekends of November and a presentation is also planned in Faro, on November 22, at the Lieutenant's Palace.
At the launch on Saturday, in Albufeira, there will be recitation of poems by Paulo Moreira and live music by Pedro Limpo Rodrigues and Cátia Teles (guitar/vocals and clarinet).
