Commission for the Protection of Children and YouthSão Brás de Alportel will host, on Thursday, the meeting «An Iberian Perspective on the System for the Protection of Children and Youth - Family Intervention», which will bring together Commissions for the Protection of Children and Youth from both sides of the border. The works will take place in the Main Hall of the City Council, from 9 am.

An initiative of the São Brás Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth that seeks to «promote the sharing of knowledge with other commissions, within the region, the country and across borders, in what is a Major Mission, in defense of the young and the building a Better Future».

Commissions for the Protection of Children and Youth of the Southern Region and neighboring Spain, as well as the Family Intervention Teams, will create a space that is intended “for exchanging experiences and sharing regarding the different systems of promotion and protection of national children and youth, and on programs and strategies for intervention and family training with children in situations of abuse”.

Two panels are planned, the first dedicated to the «System for the Promotion and Protection of Children and Youth – Family Intervention, Portuguese Perspective Versus Spanish Perspective», and a second on «Sharing Space: Presentation of Challenges, Good Practices and Reflections», by the Child and Youth Protection Committees (CPCJ) and Family Support and Parental Counseling Centers (CAFAP) of the District of Faro.
