The Chamber of Castro Marim will allocate 70 thousand euros to the support of associations and clubs in the municipality. The measure was approved this Wednesday, at a Chamber meeting, and aims to boost cultural, recreational, social, educational and sporting life in the county.
Support was granted under the program contracts, in accordance with the activities demonstrated by each of the communities. The benefited institutions are: «ARCA – Recreational and Cultural Association “Azinhal””, the “Sport Fishing Association of Castro Marim”, the “Recreational, Cultural and Sports Association of the Friends of Alta Mora”, the “Recreational Society Banda Musical Castromarinense", "Campesino Recreativo Futebol Clube", "Casa do Povo do Azinhal", "Culture and Sports Center of Castro Marim City Hall Staff", "Clube de Junqueira", "Clube Recreativo Alturense", "Grupo Desportivo e Cultural of Rio Seco", "Leões do Sul Futebol Clube", "Sociedade Columbófila Castromarinense", "Cultural Association Amendoeiras em Flor" and Associação Rodactiva".
«Local associations and clubs play a fundamental role, also having their contribution in the construction of a more united and solidary community», considered the Chamber of Castro Marim.
