Two men were arrested in flagrante delicto by the GNR, in Fuseta, municipality of Olhão, for drug trafficking. In the operation, carried out by the Núcleo de Investigação Criminal of the GNR of Faro, hashish, heroin and cocaine were seized, as well as a large sum of money, in notes.
The men were surprised by the GNR when they were selling drugs on the street. This was followed by a house search at their homes, located in Olhão, where «2172 individual doses of hashish, 1565 of heroin and 13 of cocaine» were found.
In addition to the drugs, the GNR seized "a digital scale, five mobile phones, several items in gold, two motor vehicles, a moped and 9104 euros".
This police force had already been investigating these two suspects, who have criminal records, "for about two months". With these arrests, the Territorial Command of Faro of the GNR believes it has dealt «a severe blow to drug trafficking in Fuseta, increasing public safety and tranquility in that area».
