For this, it will be present at the fair «Better Living in Portugal», where it will have the opportunity to show visitors the factors that make the region attractive to live.

According to the president of RTA, Desidério Silva, “the market for second homes makes it possible to boost the real estate sector and the economy. Residential tourism is also recognized as one of the ten fundamental products for the country and is already in a consolidated phase in the Algarve, in accordance with the National Strategic Tourism Plan, which is why RTA's institutional presence at an event such as BLiP is natural» .

A nine square meter stand with generic information to distribute to visitors, mostly foreigners residing in Portugal, is the space reserved for the Algarve at this two-day fair organized by the Association of Foreign Residents and Owners in Portugal (AFPOP).

The main reasons that influence the choice of the Algarve as a destination for the purchase of second homes are the mild climate, accessibility, the existence of golf courses and the offer of low-cost flights connecting with the buyers' countries of origin, he reveals. the new Marketing Plan for the Algarve Tourism, a document that will be presented shortly by RTA. These are some of the Algarve attributes that will be promoted during the fair, showing the Algarve as the best option for acquiring a second home.

«We intend to publicize the Algarve's tourism potential for attracting residential tourism, transforming those who already reside here into ambassadors of the region in their respective countries of origin. According to 2013 figures from the Foreigners and Borders Service, we are talking about a universe of almost 59 foreigners living in the Algarve, around 13% of the regional population”, says Desidério Silva.
