southern jewel oilJóia do Sul Lda, an olive oil production micro-company owned by an Algarve couple, based in Albufeira, was once again distinguished for the quality it produces in the International Olive Oil Competition in Latin America – Olivinus 2014 – which took place in August.

In this contest, the extra virgin olive oil “Jóia do Sul estate” was awarded a «Prestige Gold» medal, as well as a mention for his the packaging, thus acknowledging, according to the company, that «the external beauty of the product accompanies the inherent quality of the product on the inside», which marks it as a medium ripe Fruity Olive Oil with a harmonious feeling of freshness at the end.

This contest was attended by 18 countries and only 30% of the participants were awarded.

logo_jewelWith regard to the awards of the packaging, were awarded to three companies in Portugal, but Jóia do Sul was the smallest company to achieve such recognition.
