buscas003The man who crashed into the sea in a light plane, about two miles south of Porto da Baleeira, in Sagres, is still missing, after the third day of searches.

This Sunday, the navy found the sunken aircraft, but he was unable to find the pilot of the device, until the suspension of operations, which took place around 18:30.

In today's operations, it was employed a second side sonar, which was docked to the diligent lifeboat, from Sagres. Together with another maritime police vessel, already on the operating ground since Saturday, the Navy found the Cessna 152 aircraft, but not its only occupant, at the time of the accident.

According to the commander of Porto de Lagos Carvalho Pinto, the aircraft is "fairly destroyed, with only one wing", but the pilot's body "is not inside what is left of the cabin". The presence of debris was confirmed by divers and, during the afternoon, new dives were made by specialists from the Maritime Police, with no results.
