A man suspected of being a drug courier was detained by the Judiciary Police at the Airport of Faro, after two kilos of cocaine were discovered hidden in the structure of their suitcases.
The detainee, a foreign citizen, arrived at Faro from "a South American country" and the drug that it was carrying "was destined for the European market," as revealed by the Southern Directorate of the PJ, in a statement.
"The 23-year-old suspect will be present at the judicial authorities to apply the coercive measures deemed convenient," added the same police force.
