Airport FaroThe Regional Health Administration of the Algarve IP and the Regional Directorate of the Algarve of Aliens and Borders Service will establish a cooperation protocol in the field of promoting access to Health by users of the Space Equipped with a Temporary Installation Center (EECIT) of the International Airport of Faro. The agreement was signed yesterday, in a ceremony that brought together the heads, at regional level, of the two entities.

Under this protocol, ARS Algarve IP will provide a team of health technicians to provide health care in the Space Equipped with a Temporary Installation Center (EECIT) at the International Airport of Faro, whenever necessary and by signaling by the Regional Directorate of the Algarve of Foreigners and Borders Service.

Part of the agreement is 'the assessment of the health status of users, carrying out simple treatments, prescribing medication, filling in documentation relating to the health status and continuity of care for users, in order to ensure adequate medical follow-up to their needs and referral to reference health structures and also the promotion of health education actions, among others».

«For its part, the Regional Directorate of the Algarve of SEF will provide the appropriate support, namely, food and medication, and all the necessary information for the assessment and clinical follow-up of these users, according to their needs and request from the health team of the ARS Algarve”, as well as “ensuring the users' access to the prescribed treatments and their referral to the health structures, whenever necessary and indicated”, announced ARSA, in a press release.
