Loulé Historic Area of ​​Loulé - CM (1)The proposal for the delimitation of the Urban Rehabilitation Area of ​​the Historic Center of Loulé and the respective proposal for the Urban Rehabilitation Operation have been under public discussion since this Wednesday. Interested parties can consult the process documents and make proposals until September 4th.

The proposal can be consulted online, on the Loulé Chamber website, or in person, at the Town Hall of Loulé and at the Parish Councils of São Clemente and São Sebastião. Any information or clarification can be obtained at the Urban Rehabilitation Office, between 9 am and 13 pm and 14 pm and 17 pm, at Largo Prof. Cabrita da Silva, nº 19. Interested parties can submit complaints and suggestions, observations and requests for clarification, which should be sent to the Municipality of Loulé, Praça da República, 8100 Loulé or via the email address [email protected]

The document under public discussion «contains the definition of the type of urban rehabilitation operation and the strategic program, and includes the criteria underlying the delimitation of the area covered and the strategic objectives to be pursued, the plan with the delimitation of the area covered and the table of tax benefits associated with municipal taxes'.

«The legal status of the Urban Rehabilitation Area will enable the operationalization and management, as well as access to applications for funding sources at the national and community level. Rehabilitating the city, increasing social cohesion, rejuvenating the Historic Center, attracting residents, establishing businesses, enhancing the historical heritage and public space, rehabilitating degraded buildings and enhancing the city's memory are some of the objectives of this Area", concluded the Chamber of Loule.
