The House of Islamic and Mediterranean Culture, in Silves, will host between 12 and 18 July the «Doctoral Retreat in Digital Media Art», an initiative that brings together the Universidade Aberta (UAb) and the University of Algarve.
“The Doctoral Retreat is the face-to-face teaching period of the 1st curricular year of the course and aims to share a working space between students and teachers, in close coexistence”, according to the Câmara de Silves.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend workshops, thematic seminars and forum discussions, face-to-face classes, presentation of learning outcomes, debate on research issues and analysis and evaluation of thesis plans.
They will also have the possibility of integrating actions of artistic intervention and academic performance.
In addition, there will be space for the exhibition of medium-digital art artefacts, open to the population and visitors of the city of Silves, as the program “provides for moments and activities that seek to attract and involve the local population, especially the interested public. for the artistic, cultural, technological and creative industries production, as well as the population interested in the themes that will constitute the object of study, debate and sharing of knowledge and knowledge».
