The 12th Sea Swimming Competition, on August 9th, and the final of the National Footvolley Championship, on August 9th and 10th, are the two sporting competitions that will liven up Praia Grande, in Ferragudo.
The 12th Sea Swimming Competition is organized by the Municipality of Lagoa, in partnership with the Lagoa Académico Clube, with the support of the Algarve Swimming Association, Portuguese Sports and Youth Institute. The Prova de Mar is recognized nationally and internationally, for receiving numerous athletes from Swimming in open waters, some of high competition.
Athletes representing the Swimming Club of Beja, Portinado, Swimming Club of Faro, Tavira, Sporting Clube de Portugal and Spanish clubs, which are already a regular presence.
In the Disclosure Test – which takes place before the official Sea Test – non-federated athletes can register.
On the other hand, the Final of the National Footvolley Championship, which has been taking place in several beaches in the country since June, will also take place at Praia Grande, in Ferragudo, on the weekend of August 9th and 10th, this time in partnership with the National Footvolley Federation.
