Life Lynx VultureLPN – League for the Protection of Nature, within the scope of the LIFE project “Promotion of the Habitat of the Iberian Lynx and the Black Vulture in the Southeast of Portugal” (or LIFE Habitat Lynx Vulture), promotes a meeting to present and debate the theme “Sustainable Management of the Mediterranean Landscape”, which will take place on the 24th of July (Thursday), at 16:30 pm, at the Parish Council of São Brás de Alportel.

The meeting is open to all local and regional agents from the forestry, hunting, agricultural, local development and environment sectors.

With this meeting, the LIFE Habitat Lince Vulture project intends to make known «some measures of good agroforestry practices for a sustainable management of the Mediterranean landscape, opportunities and support mechanisms, taking advantage of the experience of entities and technicians with responsibility in the forestry, agricultural, hunting, environmental and local development areas».

The organization emphasizes that it is intended, «mainly, that this be a space for debate and sharing of knowledge and concerns, in a perspective of reconciling local economic activities (eg forestry, hunting, agriculture, beekeeping) with the conservation of the natural heritage of the region".

This initiative is free to enter and will take place from 16:30 pm to 20:00 pm, with a break for a convivial snack.
