Until Saturday, there are shows every day at the Centro de Congressos do Arade, in Parchal, from 9 am to 21 pm.

The opening ceremony brought together «a crowd of curious and dance lovers», at the Bela Vista Stadium, Ferragudo. The Câmara de Lagoa even speaks “in a completely exhausted setting such as had never been seen in the Municipality of Lagoa, in similar events”.

The inauguration of the World Dance Championship involved thousands of young “dancers” representing the participating countries, “who paraded down the tartan track and lined up occupying the entire field's lawn”.
A promising start for what is intended to be an event «of great international projection and artistic/cultural interest, motivating the adhesion of its population and visitors, who have exhausted the availability of accommodation and gastronomic support in the Municipality».
