Two Citizens' Spaces will be installed in the municipality of Alcoutim, at the county seat and in Martinlongo, after the President of the Chamber Osvaldo dos Santos Gonçalves signed, last Saturday, July 5th, a protocol with the Agency for Administrative Modernization (LOVE).
This governmental decentralization project will be implemented in conjunction with the municipality and will make it possible to deal with several issues in the same place, similar to what happens with current citizen stores.
Espaços do Cidadão is part of a "reorganization in the service of the public administration" and "does not imply the closure of services, such as Finance", guaranteed the deputy minister and of Regional Development Miguel Poiares Maduro, who presided over the ceremony held in Monchique.
For the mayor of Alcoutim, the creation of these spaces represents «an asset for an inland municipality like Alcoutim, given the benefits it will bring, not only in terms of reducing bureaucracy, but also in saving time when traveling». to deal with matters that until now were only possible to deal with outside the municipality, such as, for example, the delivery of documentation to ADSE or renewal of a driving licence.
In the Algarve, there will be nine municipalities to integrate this first phase. the regional network of Citizen's Spaces.
