The Lagos GNR detained a couple for drug trafficking, in the Chinicato area, on Monday. The man is said to have tried to flee, but was intercepted by the police, who ended up seizing heroin and money in the operation.

The arrest was made during a patrol action. The GNR military suspected the couple, when they were driving around the town of Chinicato, in Lagos.

"The occupants of the vehicle detected by the patrol showed suspicious behavior due to the nervousness they expressed when viewing the vehicle of this Guard, and after assessing the situation, the military proceeded to immobilize and approach the vehicle and control its occupants", described the Command territorial of Faro GRN, in a statement. With them, the detainees had enough heroin for 756 individual doses, two mobile phones and 70 euros in cash.

The two detainees are residents of the Lagos area and have already been brought to court.
