Sporting Clube de Portugal won the 2014 Mundialito, the biggest tournament in the world of children's football, in the Children's category (2002/2003), by defeating Real Betis Balompié by 2-0.

In a game where the chances to score were not many, Sporting took the lead, then consolidated the lead in the last minute, given the healthy Iberian rivalry that was going on in the stadium.

On a very lively afternoon, ten thousand people completely filled the stands at the Vila Real de Santo António Sports Complex, where music, fair play and competition marked the entire afternoon.

In the 2004/2005 category, Real Betis Balompié beat FC Barcelona by an expressive 5-0, preventing the Catalan club from renewing the title of the two previous years in this category.

In the preschool final (2006-2007), Sevilla FC got the better of Atlético Madrid, with the Andalusians winning 4-2, renewing last year's title in this category.

Finally, in the Querubins category (2008), the small footballers of Sevilla FC once again showed superiority against ED Ciudad de Aljaraque, winning 12-3, renewing the trophy in this category.
