The president of the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA) sent a congratulatory message today to Head Dieter Koschina, from the Vila Joya restaurant, in Albufeira, for being the only representative of Portugal in the list of 50 Best Restaurants in the World that has just been known.
“On behalf of myself and the people of the Algarve, I want to congratulate you on your worldwide recognition and thank you for the friendship you have for the Algarve,” says Desidério Silva. “It is a fair reward for the work done, for which the region is also grateful”, concludes the president of the RTA.
Vila Joya appears in the 22nd position of the ranking of the 50 best restaurants of 2014 by the British magazine Restaurant and it also holds two Michelin stars, which mark first-class restaurants in their type of cuisine.
«The international distinction of the Algarve restaurant is in line with RTA's commitment to promoting Gastronomy and Wines as a complementary product to other products in primary demand, namely Sun and Sea and Golf», stresses RTA in a press release.
