The Orquestra Clássica do Sul and the Municipality of Loulé present their second concert as part of the “Loulé Classico” Cycle, on April 12th, at 21 pm, at the Cineteatro Louletano.

A great highlight will be the performance of “La Vera Constanza” by Jerónimo Francisco de Lima, a presentation that is part of the mission of disseminating Portuguese music that the OCS has embraced this season, with the recovery of orchestral works by Portuguese composers.

“La Vera Constanza”, archived in the library of the Ducal Palace of Vila Viçosa, is dated 1785 and appears as part of the operatic repertoire of Jerónimo Francisco de Lima. Rui Pinheiro, guest conductor, also directs Haydn's Symphony Nº104, also known as “London”.

In this concert, the program also features works by Chabrier, with “Habanera” and “Larghetto for horn and orchestra”, the latter with the participation of soloist Todd Sheldrick, who will also perform Mozart's “Rondó K.371”.

The “Loulé Classico” Cycle is a set of unprecedented concerts, with music by great composers from classic to contemporary, which will accompany the audience from February to December, in alternate months.

These concerts are paid admission, with a single price ticket (per concert) of 8 euros. More information and reservations by calling 289 400 820 or 289 414 604.
