Year 2014 brings many nautical competitions to the Algarve

The European Endurance Championship – Portimão Grand Prix in aqua bike and jet ski (10th and 11th May) is the big news among the nautical races that will still be held this year in the Algarve. This test will be announced during the Portugal Youth Championship in Optimist, which takes place between April 8th and 12th, in Portimão.

The remaining competitions are the Junior and Absolute Portugal Championship, in Tavira (April 15th to 19th), organized by the Clube Náutico de Tavira and the Portuguese Sailing Federation, the Youth World Championship (light sailing) – 2014 ISAF Youth Sailing World Championship, also in Tavira (12th to 19th of July).

In this event, organized by the Clube Náutico de Tavira and the International Sailing Federation, around 300 sailors of various classes are expected, among them the best in the world.

There will also be the Liga Moche, a Portuguese professional surfing circuit, whose 4th stage takes place in Praia do Amado, Aljezur (June 6th to 8th), organized by the Algarve Surf Clube, National Association of Surfers and the Portuguese Surfing Federation.

And finally the Esperanças 2014 National Surf Circuit, which will have its 5th stage also at Praia do Amado, Aljezur (6th and 7th September), organized by the Algarve Surf Clube and the Portuguese Surfing Federation.
