«Come pedal with us for the protection of the water» is the motto of the race of this mountain bike race, whose main objective will be to alert the general population to the preservation of this fundamental resource for life and increasingly scarce.
The name «Rota da Água» comes from this tour, which will take place on the trails that cross three existing dams in the Barlavento Algarvio: Funcho, Arade and Odelouca.
There are two defined routes, which aim to meet all participants: one of 55 kilometers of medium difficulty and another of 35 kilometers of low difficulty.
Registration includes, insurance, t-shirt, lunch, baths and bicycle washing.
In addition to the sport that is so beneficial to health, the participants will be part of an action that aims to draw attention to the need to use water more efficiently, and to raise awareness about protecting the environment in general.
