Many outdoor activities for the little ones at Casa e Horta João Lúcio were the way to celebrate the beginning of spring and Arbor Day, on March 21, in Olhão.
Students from two classes of Escola EB 1 nº 6 in Olhão visited the Casa João Lúcio – Ecoteca, with the purpose of collaborating in the planting of vegetables in the Biological Garden.
There, they participated, from opening the hole for planting to watering the lettuce, however already planted by the students themselves, and which will then be offered to charity institutions.
Os small farmers they had fun outdoors with various traditional games, visited an exhibition, there was time for a fun gym class and even enjoyed a picnic.
At the end of the activities, and to celebrate World Tree Day, a fruit tree was planted in the garden of Casa João Lúcio.
The little ones classified this as “a very fun, energetic and healthy morning”, fulfilling the purpose of the initiative, organized by the Municipality of Olhão.
