“Museum Neighbors Meet” is the name of the Loulé Chamber initiative to mark this Friday, March 28, the National Day of Historic Centers.

From 18 pm, at Alcaidaria do Castelo, João Espada's film “Living in the Historic Centre, what does it mean?” will be shown, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of living in the medieval town of Loulé.

This was followed by a moment of sharing on “Intangible Heritage – Sharing knowledge and traditions”, with the participation of residents and the general public.

“The Museum's Neighbors Meet” ends with the performance of the traditional music group Moças Nagragadas and a moment of socializing among the participants.

This activity intends, according to the local authority, to mark the National Day of Historic Centers, «promoting all the potential of the Historic Center of Loulé, a place that for years was far from the social and economic life of the city but which gained a new dynamic with initiatives such as the MED Festival, the revitalization works that are taking place there and the various businesses linked to the creative industries that have settled here».

On the other hand, it aims to "cement the spirit of neighborliness in one of the city's noble places, not only because of the historical heritage that exists there but, fundamentally, because of its human wealth".
