The PSP of Portimão arrested a man for drug trafficking, this Wednesday, at 18:30, who was apprehended hashish. The operation took place in the city center.

As described by the PSP, the 47-year-old detainee was already being observed by the PSP, having exhibited "suspicious behavior in an area associated with drug trafficking." Reason that led the police officers to approach him.

"After a personal search, half a plate of hashish was detected in the suspect's coat pocket, corresponding to 393 doses of that narcotic product", revealed the command of Faro PSP in a statement.

"In recent months the Police Division of Portimão has made every effort to eradicate drug trafficking from the center of Portimão", and this was "another action aimed at this objective".

"The Portimão Police Division of this District Command will continue to monitor this phenomenon at all times, acting promptly in any situation detected, thus seeking to ensure the eradication of drug trafficking in that area of ​​the city," guaranteed the PSP.
