Triathletes from the O2-Portimão association participated this weekend in the National Duathlon Championship (age groups) in Rio Maior. Athlete Larissa Möller and António Raposo became national champions in their age group, while Ana Sanches was runner-up.
Some of the Algarve athletes made their debut in this sport and others managed to improve their times in this distance.
The main concern of this team made up of 16 triathletes is now to find a sponsor for the fuel expenses for the 10 remaining races of the National Championship.
Duathlon events include 5 km of running, 20 km of cycling and finally another 2,5 km of running.
